Notes

Two primary components

  1. Planning tool – the tool used for vegetative planning. The steps are listed below

    1. Identifying an Area of Interest (AOI), that is, the physical location of the land where the plan will be implemented

      • Used to intersect with Climate, Soils, MLRA and State/County layers

    2. Identifying various purposes for the plan

      • For NRCS Users, Practice, Resource Concerns & Design Goals

      • For General Users, Purpose, Objectives & Design Goals

    3. System application of primary and close match filters

    4. Optional application of secondary filters

    5. Plant selection

      • Standard mixes or custom

      • Determination of plant material quantities

    6. Identifying instructions to include with the plan

      • Such as, amendments, narratives for preparation, operations & maintenance, design sketches, etc.

    7. Identifying any other information needed for the plan such as producer, farm name, etc.

    8. Generation of the plan document

  1. Reference Data Tool – the tool used to manage vegetative reference data. Steps TBD

Questions

  1. Can AOI be disjoint found answer → yes and donut polygon

  2. Design timeline

    1. No mockups only logic

  3. How to interact with all the external tools mentioned in the document

  • No labels
