Introduction

This is our preferred framework for development because it allows for the best of both worlds. The visual piece of the kanban board makes seeing what’s happening quick and painless while the more ridgid planning nature of scrum allows for better planning and organization.

How They Fit Together

There is minimal overlap between the two frameworks and so combining them is quite easy. You utilize sprints, stand ups, and retrospectives from Scrum while also maintaining a Kanban board.

This allows the whole team to visually see what everyone is working on via the board while also maintaining a structured set of meetings and planning.

During each standup the Scrum Master will share their screen and update the Kanban board if needed.
