Lee Co Valve

Lee Co Valve

This prototype system uses a valve from the Lee Company. This has been used by the Kilter predecessor in papers by Urdal et al.

Note there are different nozzle options for the valve.

Note that the valve requires a spike and hold drive to activate, where a short 24VDC spike voltage opens the valve followed by a 3VDC hold voltage to keep it open. If extended 24VDC is supplied the valve will be damaged. A Lee Co spike and hold driver is used to perform valve opening and closing where a 5VDC TTL signal is sent to the driver, which then supplies the correct spike and hold voltages.
