FL Craft Review Cycle 5 contracts Sep 4, 2024

Highlights

Sent the final draft of Grower Survey to FL for their review on Sept 3rd.

  1. Reviewed all the Contracts Cycle 5 with Tina and Carisa (1pm to 4pm)

  2. Learned that the categorization of what type of trial it is (rootstock/ scion; nutrition; biostimulants; etc) is really for grower application purposes to consider their design, and not important for tracking and data analysis. Will remove this consideration when naming subplots and treatments.

Action Items and Follow-up

Sarah will send the contracts and contacts file for Carisa and Tina to review
Tina sent over the missing contracts from Cycle 5. Sarah needs to put those into the data entry.
PSA Team will consider how to drop “site” from the grower selection options when site is only “1” or does not have a meaning.
Sarah will test the edit feature inside Kobo after form submission
Sarah will look into folder or multiple file upload for trip tickets https://community.kobotoolbox.org/t/how-to-upload-multiple-files-at-a-time/3891

Craft - FL Review Grower Survey Aug 7, 2024

Highlights

  1. Celebrated release of Cycle 6 and ETT round 3 applications on Aug 1

  2. Walk through of the whole Grower Survey

  3. Discuss grower login information

  4. ** Important feature request: Growers really want to be able to copy the surveys into a new form, to replicate all of the submissions for the next subplot.

Action Items and Follow-up

Sarah will complete the edits discussed in the meeting on the Grower Survey. (Edits included in the FL meeting notes document. Including important points like:
getting rid of exp_unit_id headers
take out table 1 references
Fixing the yield calculations
PSA team will continue discussions internally regarding Grower Kobo account verification
Sarah will test the edit feature inside Kobo after form submission
Sarah will look into folder or multiple file upload for trip tickets https://community.kobotoolbox.org/t/how-to-upload-multiple-files-at-a-time/3891
Trevor will test out a copy feature for forms

  1. Move up the meeting to next Wednesday, Aug 14, to push along the Grower Survey improvements. Would like to complete the survey next week.

  1. Cycle 6 Application improvements

  2. Board decided to launch both applications (6 and ETT) August 1, and close Nov 1, 2024 at 5pm

  3. Sarah confirmed that she will personally shut down the Kobo application Nov 1 @5pm herself

Sarah will request ETT form from PDI
Sarah will complete Cycle 6 Application updates and email to Tina
Application updates include images, reset language, get rid of soil report, update dates, remaining updates found in checklist from meeting notes “July 10 Application Action Items”
Tina will send the PEP Scion selections from the Board July 15th
Did not cover Kobo account creation
